Therian World — Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Therian World ("the App," "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 18 ("minors") have restricted access to certain features as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you represent that you meet the minimum age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Promptly update your information to keep it accurate
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Not share your password or allow others to access your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Therian World a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
• Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence
• Involves minors in any sexually suggestive context
• Promotes self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous activities
• Contains spam, phishing links, or malware
• Impersonates other users or entities
• Violates any applicable law or regulation

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Attempt to access other users' private information
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
• Use the Service to send unsolicited messages (spam)
• Attempt to circumvent age-gating or safety restrictions
• Manipulate coin balances, XP, or any in-app economy through unauthorized means
• Sell, transfer, or share your account
• Use automated tools or bots to interact with the Service

6. In-App Currency & Purchases

Therian Coins are a virtual currency used within the App. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Permitted Uses: Digital tipping (Adopt-a-Therian), cosmetic purchases, listing boosts, and premium subscription stipends.
• Prohibited Uses: Coins cannot be used to purchase physical marketplace goods, exchanged for real money, or transferred outside the App.
• All Purchases Are Final: Coin purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify coin pricing and availability at any time.
• Marketplace Disclaimer: Marketplace transactions for physical goods occur entirely outside the App. We do not facilitate, guarantee, or take responsibility for any such transactions.

7. Premium Subscription

The Alpha Pack subscription is billed monthly at $4.99/month. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your platform's subscription management settings (Google Play or App Store). Refunds for subscriptions are subject to the refund policy of the applicable platform.

8. Location Services

Location sharing is strictly opt-in. By enabling location sharing, you consent to your approximate location (snapped to a ~1 km² zone) being visible to other users within 15 miles. You can disable location sharing at any time. Minors are prohibited from enabling location sharing. We do not store precise GPS coordinates and never expose raw coordinates to other users.

9. Moderation & Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion. Actions may include:

• Content removal
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account ban
• Reporting to law enforcement where required by law

Users may report violations using the report function available on all content surfaces within the App.

10. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, trademarks, and code are the exclusive property of Therian World and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THERIAN WORLD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You waive the right to participate in class-action lawsuits.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
