Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Tow Jam browser extension ("Extension," "we," "us," or "our"), developed by Nollie, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Extension.
1. Information We Collect
Tow Jam collects and processes the following types of data solely to perform its core functionality:
- Job Data from Salesforce Field Service: Customer name, phone number, pickup address, vehicle information (year, make, model, color), job type, work order number, membership level, assigned driver, and appointment ID. This data is read directly from the Salesforce dispatch page you are viewing.
- Temporary Local Storage: Captured job data is stored temporarily in the browser's local storage on your device to transfer it between the Salesforce tab and the TowBooks tab.
2. How We Use Your Information
All collected data is used exclusively to:
- Capture job information displayed on Salesforce Field Service dispatch pages.
- Auto-fill corresponding fields on TowBooks new call forms.
- Provide field-by-field copy functionality via the info panel.
We do not use your data for analytics, advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core auto-fill functionality.
3. Data Storage & Retention
Job data is stored temporarily in the browser's local storage on your device only. Data is overwritten each time you capture a new job and can be cleared manually at any time using the "Clear Data" button.
4. External Connections
The Extension makes one external network request unrelated to your job data:
- License Validation: The Extension periodically contacts a Firebase database operated by Nollie (
nollie-ai-default-rtdb.firebaseio.com) to check whether the Extension is currently enabled. This request occurs approximately every 30 minutes and on startup. It sends no personal data, job data, or browsing information — it only retrieves a single boolean (enabled/disabled) value. This mechanism allows us to remotely disable the Extension if necessary (e.g., for critical bug fixes or compliance reasons).
No job data, customer information, vehicle details, or any other data captured from Salesforce or TowBooks is ever transmitted externally. All job data processing occurs entirely within your browser.
5. Data Sharing
Tow Jam does not share, sell, or transmit any personal or job data to third parties. The only external communication is the license validation check described above, which contains no user data.
6. Permissions
The Extension requires the following browser permissions:
- Host access to dispatch domains (*.aaa.com): Required to read job data from the Salesforce Field Service dispatch interface.
- Host access to TowBooks (app.towbook.com): Required to auto-fill form fields on TowBooks.
- Host access to Firebase (nollie-ai-default-rtdb.firebaseio.com): Required for the license validation check described in Section 4.
- Storage: Required to temporarily hold job data in browser local storage for transfer between tabs.
7. Security
All job data remains on your local device within the browser environment. The only external network request is the license validation check described in Section 4, which transmits no personal or job data.
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Clear all stored job data at any time using the "Clear Data" button in the Extension.
- Disable or uninstall the Extension at any time to stop all data processing.
- Review the Extension's source code, as it runs entirely client-side in your browser.
9. Children's Privacy
Tow Jam is a professional workplace tool and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
